Interventional Cardiology

Program Overview:

The DCRI Evidence to Practice: Interventional Cardiology program includes symposia at major national conferences and a monthly podcast series.

Target Audience:

This activity is designed to meet the continuing education needs of interventional cardiovascular health care providers. These include physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and pharmacists.

Learning Objectives:

After participating in this live educational activity, learners will be able to;

  1. Apply clinical practice guidelines to the management of patients with acute coronary syndromes and valvular stenosis.
  2. Evaluate the strengths and limitations of new research evidence regarding the implementation, effectiveness, and safety of available therapies and devices used to treat patients.
  3. Apply new research findings to clinical practice to optimize outcomes.
  4. Evaluate strategies healthcare providers can employ to encourage patient engagement in treatment decisions and promote adherence to medication post discharge.
